We'd like to use this page to introduce ourselves to you and tell you a bit about our Breeding Program, and our Ethics,

Kandees Chihuahua is owned by me & my husband (Kathy & Rodney Hinderliter).  We have been breeding Chihuahuas since 1969 and started actively Showing in 1972.  All of our puppies are raised in our home in a clean, healthy environment.  Our puppies are very well socialized by ourselves and our three grandchildren.  We DO NOT mass produce puppies. We breed on a very limited basis, producing no more then 1-2 litters per year, if that many.  We have been A.K.C. Inspected.

Our kennel consists of no more then 10 breedable dogs. We do have a few spade/neutered pets that reside with us also.

"Quantity does NOT get you Quality".



We breed for sound, healthy dogs, with good temperaments that represent the breed standard. Most importantly we breed for ourselves. We never breed any dog here in our kennels just to sell puppies. When we breed a dog we are hoping that the end results will be a new show prospect for our breeding program.

Many is the time that I've told someone that I do not have any puppies for sale at the present; only to have them say,"But, I heard you had a new litter 3 months ago". True, I may have puppies, but they are not always for sale.

On they other hand we DO NOT keep our best and sell only our second best to others. We breed quality puppies only. Those that we decide not to keep are not considered second best to us. We feel that there are other prospective owners that would love a quality Pet. We look after our puppies/adults best interest which means not being selfish and sharing them with other loving homes. Our Pet Puppies/Adults are sold on AKC Limited Registrations and spay/neuter agreements. This means that they cannot be shown and they cannot be used for breeding purposes.





BREEDING IS NOT FOR EVERYONE!

Breeding is for experienced people only. Many do not realize all the work, time, effort and sometimes heartache it takes to raise a quality, healthy puppy. Unless you are properly qualified we strongly urge you to spay or neuter your dog.

It is our policy that we never sell a bitch that is already in whelp. Neither will we sell, barter or trade whole litters to any one person. We stand firm on this policy.

Because we put so much care and time into our dogs it is important to us that their potential owners are people of quality. Thus we do not sell thru agents, at flea markets or at the side of the road. If you are looking for a quality Pet we recommend that you DO Not buy from people who do.

We never sell any puppy under 12 weeks of age.

All of our dogs are sold with written health guarantees.
